We’re looking for an experienced Construction Document Controller to join a well-established company in Basildon, Essex. You’ll manage project documentation across multiple sites, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth information flow via systems like Asite, Aconex, or SharePoint. Strong construction industry experience, attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the control and management of instructions, construction documentation, and client feedback/comments on relevant portals and project intranet systems.
- Ensure all contract documentation is properly downloaded, stored in the correct locations, and easily accessible to all internal teams.
- Verify documents for accuracy and quality, ensuring compliance with client protocols before uploading to the system.
- Distribute documents to the relevant teams within specified timeframes and coordinate the distribution process when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure that all documentation is accurate and easily understood.
- Address client feedback and comments promptly, escalating issues to the relevant departments as needed to ensure documents are up to date.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal skills for interacting with internal teams and clients.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with project intranet systems such as Aconex and Kahua (Viewpoint knowledge is essential).
- Understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
- Knowledge of O&M’s.
Desirable Skills:
- Basic knowledge of CAD for ‘as-built’ drawing production.
Key Relationships:
- Collaborate with Design, Estimating, HSEQ departments, Directors, Project Managers, Suppliers/Subcontractors, and Client Document Control teams to ensure effective document management.
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
