At Tropicana Brands Group, we are passionate about nourishing and delighting our consumers, one sip at a time! Our great Tax finance Team is currently recruiting for a Tax Manager, Europe. In this role, you will be accountable for supporting the Head of Tax, Europe in overseeing European direct and indirect tax compliance and providing tax advisory and strategic support. This is an outstanding mixed tax role with a real breadth of opportunity for a proven professional who has an interest in enabling and being part of a growing business and contributing to setting the tax strategic direction for the business. In this role, you will:
- Direct tax: Ownership of all direct tax filings and reporting with assistance of the Finance teams across the UK and European jurisdictions; Communicate with the US Tax team on global tax reform matters such as Pillar 2 etc. Preparing annual corporate tax forecasts for European entities; Manage the relationship with external tax consultants;
- Indirect Tax: Perform VAT accounts reconciliation and VAT analysis with inputs from financial controllers and Tropicana shared services provider. Ownership of VAT governance, including control checks of transaction data and review of supporting tax documentation to identify any errors or anomalies. Partner with the finance team to review and calculate VAT returns for submission in UK and Ireland. Full responsibility for VAT Returns (ECSL; Intrastat) for all Tropicana Europe entities.
- Business partner with relevant stakeholders and provide tax support to non-tax professionals.
- Assess and review how upcoming tax regulations will impact Tropicana Europe.
- Support tax transformation projects to enhance end-to-end tax compliance controls and processes.
To be successful in this role:
- You will have 5+ years relevant tax experience in UK, France and/or for a multinational group or Big 4 practice.
- You will be a qualified accountant or tax advisor (ACA/CTA and/or ADIT) with most importantly relevant tax experience.
- You will be comfortable dealing with SAP and financial systems strongly preferred.
- The ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with key stakeholders is essential.
- Being motivated by a fast-paced, dynamic and high growth environment is essential.
The role location is Farringdon, London and it will be required to come to the office 2 – 3 days per week.
