Utopian Professional Recruitment are working in partnership with our Edinburgh based client who are expanding and looking to recruit Legal Secretaries & Paralegals offering experience in Private Client, Executry and Real Estate.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Typing of correspondence and documents (including dealing with digital dictation and manuscript amendments)
- Running legal comparisons
- Drafting and where appropriate sending letters, faxes and emails
- Scanning, photocopying and engrossment of documents
- Handling confidential information
- Partner diary management and meeting bookings
- Partner travel bookings
- Dealing with clients in person and on the telephone
- Delivery and collection of documents
- Assistance with the setting up and maintenance of systems and data resources for the administration of legal procedures, to include:
- Preparation of forms for new clients/matters
- Client verification procedures
To be considered for this opportunity we are looking for:
- Previous experience of working within a similar role within a legal environment
- Background of the production of relevant legal documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate professional conduct with clients, partners and employees
- Audio and copy typing
- Comfortable with use of email communication
- Working knowledge and confidence in using office equipment such as photocopiers, scanners, etc
- Ability to work with, and willingness to take direction from various levels of legal staff from partner to trainee
- Pleasant telephone manner and ability to field telephone calls and assist clients with their queries
