An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a major new-build healthcare project in Shrewsbury, valued at over £200m. This is a great role for someone looking to gain hands-on experience on a high-profile project, working alongside an experienced commercial team from early stages through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the commercial team with procurement and subcontractor engagement
- Assist with cost tracking, valuations, and invoice submissions
- Help monitor subcontractor performance and manage payments
- Contribute to reporting, forecasting, and risk management activities
- Gain experience working under NEC contracts
- Assist with the preparation of final accounts and cost reconciliations
Requirements:
- Some experience within a commercial or site-based construction role
