Are you ready to lead SHEQ across a high-impact utilities contract? We’re working with a leading infrastructure contractor to find a Health and Safety Manager for a critical role supporting a major water provider on capital delivery and pipeline maintenance projects.

This is a strategic position where you’ll shape safety culture, manage a regional team, and liaise directly with senior stakeholders, all while improving essential infrastructure. You’ll be stepping into a stable, long-term contract (AMP8), working with a respected name in the sector, and reporting directly to a Senior Health & Safety Manager with strong backing from the SHEQ leadership.

The business boasts a strong infrastructure pedigree, ongoing growth plans, and a genuine commitment to flexibility and development. This is a hybrid position with 2 days from home, 2 days out to sites, and 1 day from the office just outside South London.

What’s on offer?

  • Salary of £70,000–£80,000

The role:

  • Lead SHEQ for a large framework across South London and the Thames Valley
  • Manage and develop a team of 3–6 SHEQ Advisors
  • Act as a senior point of contact for external and internal stakeholders
  • Drive incident investigations, internal audits, and continuous improvement
  • Deliver high-quality reports and ensure CDM compliance
  • Actively contribute to operational and leadership meetings

What we’re looking for:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent
  • CMIOSH (or working towards it with a clear plan)
  • Strong background in civils, utilities, or infrastructure
  • Full UK driving licence
