A well-established manufacturing business, located in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their growing team. THE ROLE:

  • Oversee current warehouse functions, reviewing discrepancies and driving a continuous improvement culture
  • Manage a team of FLT drivers, whilst promoting effective communication between sales, production and the warehousing team
  • Monitor attendance and performance across the team, identifying training needs through regular appraisals
  • Managing KPI's in respect of delivery, quality, productivity and cost
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and ensure inventories are accurate, improving the quality of stock management by reducing shorts and stock errors through data storage systems
  • Using space and equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
  • Plan future capacity requirements
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles and equipment
  • Working hours Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, however flexibility is needed when business needs require this

THE CANDIDATE:

  • SAP S/4 Hana desirable
  • Counterbalance FLT licence desirable
  • Minimum 3 years background in a manufacturing environment
  • Solutions driven with the ability to think and work under pressure with time constraints
  • Previous management experience essential
  • Proven track record
  • Service driven mindset
  • Process excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Sound appreciation and understanding of stock management and the efficient storage and distribution of goods
  • Ability to implement new processes and drive performance
