Working within a Food Research & Development lab under the guidance of senior team members, you will work independently and collaboratively to support the operation and goals of the laboratory.

Duties include:

  • Efficiently administering samples for scientific analysis by creating records, assigning analytical tests, allocating samples for analysis, maintaining chain-of-custody for controlled samples, inputting results, and liaising with clients.
  • Applying organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Providing high-quality customer service by ensuring effective organization of assigned workload, integrity of analytical data, and timely/accurate provision of results.
  • Performing basic routine pharmacopeial analysis using aseptic technique under supervision.
  • Operating basic lab equipment as directed.
  • Conducting experiments, completing assigned projects, or offering functional services under supervision.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Chemistry, a fresh graduate or technical apprenticeship.
  • Competency in using generic and specific software packages required for the role including the Lab LIMS system and Q-Pulse.
  • A scientific background, either through education or technical apprenticeship.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Verbal and written communication in English.
  • Accountability, honesty, and adaptability.
