We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Social Care Officer to join their supportive, values-driven service.

Rate: £16.50 per hour (Umbrella)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Driving Licence: Essential

About the Role: You’ll work alongside qualified Social Workers, providing direct support to children, young people, and families with care and support needs. The role focuses on reducing risk, building resilience, and strengthening families through longer-term plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children and families in complex or challenging circumstances
  • Contributing to child protection planning, reviews, and court-related processes
  • Completing assessments and plans, including for children receiving Out of Court disposals
  • Helping families identify their priorities and supporting them in achieving positive outcomes
  • Building effective relationships with children, families, and multi-agency partners
  • Agile working within the community and occasional flexible hours outside core times
