A freight forwarding company is looking for a customs coordinator to join their Customs logistics team in Stanford-Lee-Hope.

The Package

• Salary: 28K-33K depending on experience
• 23 days holiday, increasing with service, plus 8 bank holidays

Responsibilities

• Complete all customs entries from start to finish for imports
• Liaise with port health and customs officials on document checks
• Check import tariffs and trade agreements
• Manage various modes of transport – road and sea
• Handle a variety of commodities
• Address queries promptly and efficiently
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Complete customs procedures, codes, and excise
• Identify and address non-compliance issues, ensuring remedial actions in accordance with customs regulations and UK/international law
• Ensure timely invoicing, including VAT and duty invoices

Key Skills Required

• Knowledge of customs, with import or export experience
• Experience with customs software
