A very exciting time to join Barfoots! With our continued growth and on-going development, there has never been a better time to join us. Working within the food industry, the purpose of the role is to ensure that high levels of hygiene exist for all production machinery, plant and facilities, which will involve high and low level cleaning of walls, floors, fittings, drains and other equipment as required. As a key team member, you will work across all production areas and be responsible for ensuring that all machines, fixtures, fittings and buildings meet strict standards of hygiene at all times.
We currently have vacancies available on our night shifts. These operate a 4 on, 4 off, 12 hour shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities include:- Deep cleaning of production areas & associated equipment
- Ensure accurate cleaning records at all times
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times
- Ensure all hygiene tools are clean, fit for purpose and hygienically stored
- Ensure any cleaning chemicals used are stored correctly
- Record and report any hygiene or food safety concerns or incidents
- Ensure that COSHH regulations and all health, safety and company policies are adhered to
- Provide support to the rest of the hygiene team as necessary
- Focus on continuous improvement
- Experience of conducting cleaning practices and proven hygiene work experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- An understanding of the fresh food sector (Desirable)
- CIEH Food Safety Level 2 (Desirable)
