What you’ll do: The Road Sweeper Driver plays a vital operational role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments. Operating specialist road sweeping vehicles, you will deliver high-quality, efficient services on highways, footpaths, and commercial premises, adhering to client commitments and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate road sweeping vehicles to clean designated areas in accordance with schedules.
- Manually remove obstructions that could damage the machinery.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report defects.
- Undertake cleaning duties of the sweeper under your control.
- Complete daily logbooks and service records accurately.
- Report maintenance issues promptly.
- Carry out manual sweeping and litter picking as needed.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain professionalism when representing Ground Control.
- Support other grounds maintenance tasks as required.
What we’re looking for:
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to drive in all weather conditions and terrains.
- Full UK Driving Licence with Category C (Class 2).
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Experience operating large vehicles safely.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or nights.
- Good physical fitness.
- Understanding of Health and Safety at work.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in environmental services or highways maintenance.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Experience with Left-Hand Drive vehicles in the UK is advantageous.
