We have an exciting opportunity for the position of Training Co-Ordinator, based at our Ultrapharm site in Pontypool, part of the Finsbury Food Group. Ultrapharm is a dedicated Gluten Free Bakery specialising in only Gluten Free Product since 1993. The Company’s unique approach to craft and baking creates premium gluten-free products with the flavour and taste of traditional bread. Our Products range from artisanal bread to our award-winning Hot cross buns and Mince pies for Major Retailers such as M&S and Waitrose.
About the Role:
As a Training Co-ordinator, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a structured training strategy across Assembly and Sub-Assembly areas. You’ll drive skills development, close training gaps, and ensure our teams meet operational and quality standards. By collaborating with the Operations Management team, you’ll help enhance performance, improve compliance, and support new product development. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead from the front, engaging with employees and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

This is What You’ll Actually Do!
- Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across Assembly and Sub-Assembly areas.
- Develop and execute structured training plans to bridge skills gaps based on training matrix analysis.
- Identify and engage key employees to support the delivery of training plans.
- Communicate and distribute weekly training schedules to all stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation of a training management suite to monitor and track activities.
Support Operational Excellence:
- Collaborate daily with the Operations Management team to align training with business needs.
- Onboard shop floor employees, ensuring they meet key skills requirements.
- Participate in internal review meetings, proactively managing training needs for new product development (NPD).
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and legal training standards.
- Monitor training completion records to maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation.

- Proven experience in people development and training delivery.
- Familiarity with FMCG manufacturing processes, including continuous and batch production.
- Strong understanding of operational processes and efficiency improvements.
- Confident decision-maker with the ability to work independently.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, capable of influencing profitability.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
