Joint Ventures & Affiliates Finance Director supporting the Regional Managing Director for UK&I, Nordics, Israel, EMEA Emerging Markets & EMEA Support Functions. This role is a critical part of the Finance Team to lead Business Finance in the UK, Ireland and CBRE Excellerate and CBRE Saudi Arabia Joint Ventures & Affiliates across Africa and the Middle East across 30 countries. The role-holder will partner with the Operations Director for the region and will lead the Finance team to support the business across UK, Ireland, Africa & Middle East and will have responsibility for financial governance, compliance, stewardship and strategic inputs. As a key member of the wider finance team, this role will support key initiatives within EMEA and will also consolidate results for the Nordics and Israel region.

What You’ll Do

  • Leads and delivers regional financial reporting, monthly reporting, variance analysis and opex forecasts.
  • Partner with the leadership team to add value to decision making and contribute to the development and implementation of the business plan of the region.
  • Develops effective relationships with key stakeholders to influence and drive for profitable and successful outcomes for the region.
  • Ensures CBRE statutory, SOX obligations, annual audit and compliance are met and adhered to through partnering with the Controllership.
  • Develops and builds an effective country business partnering relationship to support bringing together client account teams with their colleagues in the Platform and the Joint Ventures to drive growth.
  • Lead transformation across the region and support on EMEA projects, champion the CBRE TOM, lead on entity rationalisation, system optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Own the financial integrity of the Regional P&L and Balance Sheet. Full responsibility for country operating costs and point of escalation for disputes.
  • Develop corporate planning, budgeting and forecasting information focusing on highlighting performance and providing insights, ensuring quality and consistency and aligned with other Enterprise countries.
  • Develop, lead and motivate a diverse and effective team. Empower team members to take responsibility and accountability. Lead structured performance management, personal development, talent and succession activities to ensure that there is a robust pipeline of talent available.
  • Supports new business wins and transitions ensuring resource management strategy in place.
  • Leverages Projects capability to support growth and ensuring quality Project governance processes in place.
  • Escalation point for Client Accounts and Joint Ventures for management and resolution of financial issues.
  • Lead the governance and compliance of the UK Statutory entity and support the Joint Ventures with governance and compliance.
  • Support the non-standard and ad hoc management reporting and analysis.
  • Consolidate the results of the Nordics and Israel region where required.
  • Continually review, maintain, and improve cash-flow, working capital, margins and reporting.

What You’ll Need

  • Educated to degree level, with a relevant, recognised professional qualification and 10 years + PQE.
  • Outstanding financial competencies and experience including good awareness of SOX, US GAAP & IFRS.
  • A strong process-driven mindset, able to ensure compliance and control without stifling growth.
  • Significant experience in change management and in helping teams adapt to change programs.
  • Familiarity with process automation / re-engineering and system optimisation.
