We are currently recruiting 3 x HGV Class 2 Drivers for a well-established flooring company based in Irlam. They require three temporary drivers (working 5-days per week) on a long-term contract with the honest possibility of a full-time permanent role on successful completion of the probationary period.
The successful Class 2 Driver will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, and physically fit as this is a demanding role, carrying out approximately 10-15 deliveries per day of carpets, laminate flooring etc., to retail outlets around the northwest. Start time is 07:00 am to approx. 16:00 with some overtime.
HGV Class 2 Driver responsibilities:- Maintaining regular contact with Transport/Branch Managers on daily progress
- Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits
- Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
- Daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
- Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
- No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Full UK Driving licence, held for 1 year
- Cat-C Licence (HGV Class 2)
- Weekly pay paid PAYE by BACS Transfer
- Full employee benefits entitlement
- Company pension
- BACS transfer
