The opportunity
We are seeking a Business Development Consultant to drive new client acquisition and revenue growth across our media, events, and recruitment services. This is a client-facing, target-oriented role that requires a confident communicator with a proactive approach to building partnerships and closing deals.
You will play a key role in expanding our commercial footprint by identifying opportunities, engaging potential clients, and tailoring solutions that support their objectives while contributing to The PIE’s continued growth.
What you’ll do
- Identify and engage new business opportunities across The PIE’s product portfolio.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline through outbound outreach, market research, and industry engagement.
- Develop consultative relationships with prospective clients to understand their goals and align them with tailored solutions.
- Deliver compelling proposals and presentations that demonstrate value and drive conversions.
- Meet and exceed revenue targets, contributing directly to company growth.
- Represent The PIE at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records and support efficient sales reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience from first contact to signed agreement.
What you bring
- Experience in business development, B2B sales, or a commercial role with measurable success.
- Confidence in managing the full sales cycle – from prospecting and outreach to closing deals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with a professional, consultative style.
- A commercial mindset and genuine motivation to drive revenue and create value for clients.
- Ability to manage time effectively and juggle competing priorities.
- Knowledge of or interest in the international education sector is a bonus but not essential.
