AES CE is an established and rapidly growing renewable energy company headquartered in Salt Lake City. The AES Operations team is looking for a top-tier Solar Technician with field experience; this individual would play a pivotal role in ensuring that AES CE operates the portfolio to standards that exceed industry best-practice.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:- Performs corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for which they are qualified to safely and efficiently perform for equipment including but not limited to:
- Power Electronics HECP
- Power Electronics HEC 1500V
- Power Electronics HEMAE 1000NX
- AE 500NX
- Eaton XPert 1670
- Ingecon Sun 1110TL U B400
- SMA 750C
- SMA SC2200-2750
- DC Combiner boxes
- ATI Trackers V2, V2.5, V3
- NexTracker Tracker
- First Solar Tracker
- High, Medium, Low voltage Switching
- Validated experience with a multitude of electrical/construction projects and knowledge of basic IT equipment.
- Understanding of general workplace safety and safety standards as well as help the company improve upon the standards in place.
- Ability to excel in a collaborative, multi-functional, and geographically diverse organization.
- Maturity, integrity, and excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills with leaders and colleagues.
- High energy, developed social skills, and a strong work ethic.

- Possess 2-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman qualifications.
- Proven experience as a PV O&M solar technician.
- Demonstrated ability in a power plant and one (1) or more years of experience in PV Solar O&M or construction.
- Proven knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals (single craft journeyman skills) such as electrical measurements, control circuits, and proven state theory application.
- Basic knowledge of operational characteristics of equipment and associated control devices installed in power facilities.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $32.50 and $39.10/Hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
