Job Overview:
We are looking for a Software and Mobile OS (Operating System) Ecosystem Development Engineer, who are expected to work for CBG Standards & Industry Development Dept. in Europe. This work should cover major CBG software and OS related tasks, including web technology, AI algorithm, intelligent car connectivity, mobile application development, open source, operating system core enabling technologies, and ecosystem partnership.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings of international organizations, covering software, open source, and mobile OS domains, such as W3C, ECMA, OCX, OSXP on behalf of Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG). Contribute to innovation and evolution of CBG’s software and OS technologies (such as Atomic Service, Native HarmonyOS Kits, Open Source Enablers, etc.).
- Provide insights on software and OS related novel technologies and new market regulations at global scale (with focus on Europe), including major EU regulations that impact TOP APP companies, such as DSA, DMA, for market fairness and openness.
- Collaborate closely with CBG European and HQ departments for timely business alignment, as well for internal progress reporting, and external presentations. In addition, take the responsibility to define strategies, work plans, and implementations
- Promote innovative applications, pilots, and implementation with EU partners, based on Huawei software and OS technologies, and novel application development tools, for CBG business success in Europe.
- Support EU-SID CBG events/summits/workshops, relevant to software and OS and beyond.
- Support EU-SID CBG project management and internal coordination.
Competency Requirements :
- Educational Background: major in software, computer science, with a master’s degree or PhD degree.
- Insights and Analysis: be able to deliver insights reports based on open policies, regulations, technologies, market trends, and be excellent at presentation.
- Application Development: be able to develop mobile application in major platforms (iOS/Android/HarmonyOS), and understand software development lifecycle, and be familiar with development tools.
- Communication Skills: have strong internal and external communication skills and collaboration abilities, and be able to work in a multi-culture environment.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and Chinese , both spoken and writing.
