Location: Cornwall
Hours: 45 a week
We’re looking for skilled Lead Groundworker/Chargehand to join a dynamic civil engineering team delivering essential infrastructure across Cornwall.
What you'll do:
- Supervise and lead a small team on-site
- Set out work to specifications, including drainage, ducting, kerbing, and concrete
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Operate plant and tools as needed (with appropriate tickets)
- Communicate effectively with site managers and contractors
- Maintain accurate records and site diaries
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience in groundwork and supervising others
- Knowledge of site safety procedures
- Ability to interpret drawings and set out work
- Relevant plant and tool tickets (e.g. dumper, roller, CAT & Genny)
- CSCS card (essential), SSSTS or equivalent (desirable)
- Driving licence (essential)
