Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

Location: Cornwall

Hours: 45 a week

We’re looking for skilled Lead Groundworker/Chargehand to join a dynamic civil engineering team delivering essential infrastructure across Cornwall.

What you'll do:

  • Supervise and lead a small team on-site
  • Set out work to specifications, including drainage, ducting, kerbing, and concrete
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Operate plant and tools as needed (with appropriate tickets)
  • Communicate effectively with site managers and contractors
  • Maintain accurate records and site diaries

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in groundwork and supervising others
  • Knowledge of site safety procedures
  • Ability to interpret drawings and set out work
  • Relevant plant and tool tickets (e.g. dumper, roller, CAT & Genny)
  • CSCS card (essential), SSSTS or equivalent (desirable)
  • Driving licence (essential)
