We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Audit Manager to join our team for a 6-month paternity cover. This role is great for people who love to lead, who communicate brilliantly, establishing strong relationships across Aviva and who can, with support from the Head of Audit and Financial Risk Audit Director, deliver our financial internal audit plan. We are looking for immediate joiners (ideally beginning of July).
A bit about the job: In Internal Audit we focus on what matters for Aviva’s success. We continuously refine our knowledge and understanding of the risks that matter; those which affect our business and customers. We couple this knowledge and judgement with strong collaborative relationships to inform our audit assignments, enabling us to influence management and motivate change. Reporting to the Head of Audit, the Senior Audit Manager will be a key member of the Financial Risk Internal Audit team, owning key relationships across the business, and providing financial / technical support across Internal Audit teams. You will support the assessment of the effectiveness of our control framework and report to Senior Management on risk management and control efficiency through delivery of a portfolio of various audits and assurance work.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience in insurance or financial services (life insurance, pensions and investments).
- Familiarisation with technical actuarial and/or accounting processes, risk and controls.
- Experience leading and delivering quality technical audits (internal or external).
- Excellent communication skills, strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- People leadership and project management skills.
What you’ll get for this role:
- National salary: circa £95,000, London salary: circa £110,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
