I'm currently working with an innovative and exciting client who provide virtual learning spaces that are fully interactive. Their Virtual Reality experiences have massive applications within the Education and Healthcare sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement new features and components across the app, and React-based editor for web, desktop (Electron), and cloud/edge services.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (Design team, Unity Developers) using Agile workflows.
- Participate in discovery sessions, road-map planning, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
- Identify, propose, and document architectural decisions and improvements.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application code and cloud-based APIs to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of React, including hooks, context API, and modern state management (Redux Toolkit).
- Strong skills with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js.
- Proficient using Material-UI (MUI).
- Other beneficial skills include Electron, Storybook, UI/UX, Three.js, Python, and Jira.
- Experience or interest in Unity, WebGL, or similar interactive technologies would be advantageous.
- A keen interest or experience integrating AI/ML solutions into web-based applications.
Salary: They offer a strong all round package with a base salary of up to £85,000.
Location: This role is a fully remote position but you are required to be based in the UK. The company do have an office and would be happy to accommodate office working if required.
