Chief Financial Officer – Commodity Trading (Kindly note, our client will only consider candidates with prior commodity trading experience). Salary: £150k – £200k + strong discretionary bonus Location: central London We are seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a dynamic and fast-growing commodity trading business. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will play a central role in shaping financial strategy, enhancing risk management, and supporting the company’s continued expansion across global markets. Key Responsibilities: Lead all financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations in a trading environment Provide strategic insight to support trading decisions and business growth Drive fundraising, debt structuring, and capital restructuring initiatives Ensure robust regulatory compliance and best-in-class financial governance Act as a key liaison with banks, investors, auditors, and external stakeholders Key Requirements: Proven experience as CFO or senior finance leader within a commodity trading firm Strong understanding of trading P&L, risk, and funding structures In-depth knowledge of exotic products and derivatives Experience in banking or private equity, with a strong track record in fundraising and complex capital/debt structuring Strategic thinker with strong leadership and board-level influence ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent This is a rare opportunity to take a leadership role in a high-growth, entrepreneurial trading business.
