Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. This role will be within our private networks. We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be responsible for the equipment installation, labelling, commissioning and power works within our staging environment in Coventry. You’ll be installing and working on SDH/MPLS-TP, DWDM, Carrier Ethernet and fixed OTDR devices daily. You’ll be reporting to Lead I&C engineers and TSS Commissioning Engineers day to day and you will be supporting them with testing ready for field use. You’ll hold a technical knowledge of networking principles, having operated in provide delivery space and have a proven track record of successful technical project implementation across various delivery solutions.
What you’ll bring:
- You’ll have engineering installation & commissioning experience.
- You’ll be comfortable with Office 365.
- Well need you to follow documentation and learn new skills.
- Good time keeping skills.
- Well need you to follow the Health and Safety rules and best practices.
- Monitor progress against the build plan and report on issues preventing timely completion.
- You’ll have the ability to work to the applicable Quality standards.
- You’ll have a minimum of 2 years experience in field engineering or data centre technician role.
- Well need you to have experience with working to tight deadlines.
- It would be great if you had Hitachi FOX/XMC and ADTRAN DWDM/Carrier Ethernet experience.
