Mach Recruitment is recruiting a Packaging Technologist to work at a large food manufacturing and distribution site in Grimsby.
The Role: As a Packaging Technologist, you will support key operational and quality processes to ensure packaging meets performance, quality, and safety standards. Duties include:
- Supporting management in tracking, reporting, and analysing various packaging initiatives
- Maintaining working knowledge of all purchasing and operational processes
- Processing packaging orders for compound, breaker and bead wire, and ply cord
- Recording and analysing data on scrap, rejects, and production
- Communicating packaging and process quality standards to teams through documentation and training
- Identifying process gaps through detailed analysis of specific packaging stages
- Providing administrative support in finance, procurement, and documentation control
- Supporting continual improvement and packaging compliance efforts across the factory
About You:
- Previous experience in food manufacturing/factory setting
- Food hygiene knowledge is essential
- Strong attention to detail and confident using data systems and Excel
- Willing and able to work between two local sites
- Can start immediately and commit for the full 6-month period
- A driving licence is preferred due to site split
