As a Conflicts Lawyer, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving conflicts of interest related to the firm’s new matters and hires across its global network, with a strong emphasis on the European region. You’ll collaborate with partners, the General Counsel’s office, and risk committees to support ethical compliance and implement best practice protocols in line with UK, US, and EU regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct conflict checks for new client matters and lateral hires
- Analyse conflict reports and work with attorneys to resolve issues efficiently
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to implement ethical walls and screening procedures
- Review engagement letters and outside counsel guidelines for compliance
- Carry out legal research related to conflicts rules, jurisdictional regulations, and risk issues
- Support the New Business Committee on conflict clearance matters and firm-wide risk policies
