Are you a hands-on Building Services professional with a proven track record in managing hard services within a dynamic office environment? We are working with a prestigious, forward-thinking organisation to recruit an experienced Building Services Senior Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing Facilities team at a landmark corporate site in Sutton, South London.
The Role
As Building Services Senior Coordinator, you will take the lead in managing day-to-day building services operations and be responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and welcoming workplace. You will be the go-to person for technical and maintenance matters, overseeing contractors, building systems, and reactive and planned works.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Supervising M&E contractors, including an on-site engineer, monthly reporting, and performance management
- Authorising and reviewing maintenance work, RAMS, and Work Authority Applications
- Managing supplier relationships and ensuring KPIs/SLAs are met
- Providing leadership to a Building Services Coordinator
- Supporting compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
- Monitoring budgets and identifying opportunities for efficiency
- Acting as the main point of contact for all building services-related queries
What Our Client Is Looking For
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role within a corporate or commercial environment
- HND (or equivalent) in Building Services Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong practical maintenance skills (plumbing, electrics, general fabric)
- Proven experience supervising contractors and managing service contracts
- Excellent knowledge of H&S compliance and statutory requirements
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities
- IT-literate, with experience using FM systems and reporting tools
- Calm under pressure, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with BREEAM In-Use or energy performance dashboards
- Experience using Wi-Fi-enabled BMS (Building Management Systems)
