Introduction to the role

As a Junior Planner, you will play a key support role within the Airports and Parcels Operations team. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you’ll assist in coordinating project planning activities, updating schedules, and maintaining planning documentation. You’ll help identify potential issues and provide accurate information to assist project teams in staying on track. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their experience in Project Planning and/or Project Management, and gain exposure to large-scale infrastructure and operational projects.

Role Responsibilities

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of dynamic projects, contributing to the success of airport operations worldwide

  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules under the guidance of senior planners.
  • Assist in identifying key milestones and tracking progress against timelines.
  • Coordinate updates from internal teams and external suppliers to keep planning documents current.
  • Help gather and input data into planning tools such as Primavera P6.
  • Contribute to the preparation of regular reports and updates for project teams and management.
  • Participate in meetings and assist with recording actions, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely information flow.

Role Qualifications & Skills

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a project support or junior planning role (or relevant internship).
  • Basic knowledge of planning tools; experience with Primavera P6 is preferred but not essential if you are eager to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage time and follow through on tasks.
  • Interest in infrastructure, logistics, or engineering project environments.
  • A project-related qualification or training (e.g., PRINCE2 Foundation or similar) is beneficial but not required.
