We are partnering with a boutique, financial planning firm located in central Buckinghamshire. As a growing and dynamic practice, they are seeking an ambitious individual with knowledge of financial planning, who is currently a paraplanner but wants to progress into a Junior Adviser position. Our client is looking for someone to paraplan for 2 advisors, while learning the business and how they do things. During this time, you will meet clients, slowly be handed responsibility for giving advice yourself and be handed some of the client book to build.
This well-established independent and directly authorised firm is committed to fostering talent from within and offers a development pathway, training, client-facing experience, and mentoring. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone passionate about building a long-term career as a Financial Advisor. There is also potential for a succession plan as one of the partners is looking to retire in a few years and wants to hand the business and clients over to the adviser team.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Onboarding new clients and supporting in servicing existing clients
- Supporting a financial advisor in client meetings
- Sending out letters of authority
- Liaising with product providers
- Working closely with the administrator
- General administration duties as and when needed
The ideal candidate will have a paraplanning/junior adviser background, hold the DipFA or equivalent level 4 qualifications, and be happy to do a dual paraplanning/junior advisor role for the moment until up and running within the firm. They should want to work towards chartered status and be part of a great supportive and busy team.
