The Vessel Client Representative acts as the on-site client representative aboard the IMR CONTRACTOR's offshore vessel during the 2025 subsea IMR campaign. The role involves overseeing and monitoring all offshore activities, ensuring compliance with project objectives, safety standards, and contractual obligations. The Client Representative serves as the primary point of contact between the Subsea Operations Team and the IMR CONTRACTOR, ensuring that the work is executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Oversight:
- Represent the Subsea Operations Teams interests onboard the vessel during the subsea IMR campaign.
- Monitor and supervise offshore operations, including subsea inspections, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Verify that all operations comply with the Subsea Operations Teams specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture onboard the vessel.
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) policies and procedures.
- Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety drills.
- Report and investigate any incidents, near-misses, or non-conformances.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Subsea Operations Team and the IMR CONTRACTOR's team.
- Facilitate clear communication between onshore Subsea Operations Team and IMR CONTRACTOR's personnel.
- Provide daily progress reports to the Subsea Operations Team, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and risks.
- Attend and contribute to operational meetings, both onshore and offshore.
- Review and approve work procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Monitor the performance of subsea equipment, such as ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles), diving systems, and other IMR tools.
- Ensure that all subsea inspection data is collected, reviewed, and reported accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of offshore activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and as-built documentation.
- Review and approve contractor deliverables, including inspection reports, maintenance records, and repair documentation.
- Provide detailed handover notes to the oncoming Client Representative and onshore Subsea Operations Team.
- Identify and address operational challenges, escalating issues to the onshore Subsea Operations Team when appropriate.
- Provide real-time input and recommendations to optimize operations and mitigate risks.
- Ensure that any deviations from the project plan are documented and approved by the Subsea Operations Team.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred). Equivalent experience in offshore/subsea operations may be considered.
- Experience: Experience in offshore/subsea operations, with a focus on IMR campaigns. Previous experience as a Client Representative or similar role is highly desirable. Familiarity with subsea inspection techniques, ROV operations, and IMR equipment. Familiarity with AIZE Integrity Elementz or COABIS Software (preferred).
