Responsibilities:
Providing legal advice on general trade compliance matters, keeping abreast of regulatory changes and ensuring the organization\βs policies and procedures align with applicable laws.
Developing, implementing, and monitoring trade compliance programs, fostering a culture of integrity and ethical conduct within the organization.
Serving as an an advisory resource on sanctions matters, demonstrating experience in handling cases and providing sanctions advice autonomously.
Reviewing and verifying trade documents, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, classifying products for tariffs, and assisting with applications for export licenses/completing exporter registrations and other regulatory approval.
Providing export compliance support for Trade Compliance audits.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of post qualification experience within an in-house legal department or law firm supporting trade compliance initiatives.
Sense of urgency combined with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and cross functionally
Authorized to reside and practice law in the UK.
