About the Role
Manage daily onsite material processing, recovery, and final disposal operations. Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing of all operational personnel. Maintain health and safety compliance for all 3rd party visitors. Ensure compliance with Environment Agency site permit. Adhere to all applicable legislation and company policies. Participate actively in the onsite senior management team. Support recruitment, induction, and training of new employees. Train, develop, and coach all staff members. Oversee preventative maintenance of all plant and equipment. Coordinate with colleagues to ensure material transport aligns with offtake agreements and permits. Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and competency assessments. Contribute to the site SHEQ working group. Perform performance reviews for operational staff. Manage absence processes for operational personnel. Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the facility. Participate in daily site planning and review meetings. Maximize plant availability and throughput while maintaining compliance. Ensure hygiene and cleanliness in welfare facilities. Manage operational costs effectively. Provide written reports as needed. Ensure sufficient labor is available for all shifts, safely and compliantly. Handle absence and holiday processes efficiently. Review and approve payroll submissions.
