Our PE backed software client require an Interim Financial Controller for 6 months initially. Reporting into the CFO and with offices near Birmingham the expectation is that you would spend 3 days on site per week. Overnight expenses can be covered if required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the rollout of a new ERP system, embedding best practice processes and improving data integrity and reporting
- Own balance sheet management, ensuring revenue is correctly recognised and reporting is accurate and accessible
- Manage and mentor a small finance team, driving continuous improvement, automation, and greater efficiency
- Oversee cyclical controllership duties, including monthly close, year-end, and audit preparation
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience within a B2B or software/tech business is advantageous
- Strong background in private equity-backed or fast-growth business environments
- Hands-on approach with experience managing lean finance teams and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders
