Are you an enthusiastic, patient and considerate individual? Would you like to make a difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities? If yes, we are seeking a full time, permanent Supported Living Support Worker to join our highly experienced and friendly team at Farmview & Lockhart.
You will be supporting people to live the lives they choose through independence, dignity, choice and achievement. Our Supported Living Services enable individuals to live more independent lives. Each individual has their own tenancy agreement, with an innovative and individually tailored care package. We currently have 9 properties within the service.
Hours
162.5 hours per month. Supported Living Support Worker shifts are based on a Person-Centred Approach and you can expect your monthly rota to include a mix of long days, sleep-ins and weekends. This role will primarily cover our Supported Living Service based on Highlands Farm in Woodchurch. As a Supported Living Support Worker, you will also need to be prepared to cover Supported Living Services within Ashford and New Romney when required.
What will I be doing?
As a Supported Living Support Worker you will assist and support our service users in every aspect of their daily lives. The day to day responsibilities of a Supported Living Support Worker will include but are not limited to:
- Assist service users in every aspect of their daily lives in accordance with their care contract. This may include supporting with shopping, food preparation, cleaning, ironing, gardening.
- Accompanying/driving tenants to services/community visits and appointments.
- Assist with home management e.g. payment of bills, making appointments.
- To assist with administering daily medications, when required.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment to individuals.
- Maintain all appropriate records and written reports.
Pay And Benefits
Salary: £24,160.50. 22 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays; Additional annual leave for 3, 4 and 5 years continuous service. Paid DBS check renewed every three years. Contributory pension scheme. Healthcare Cash Plan on completion of 6 month probationary period. Excellent training and development opportunities. Free entry to Rare Breeds Centre - 2 adults & 2 children.
Eligibility
All Appointments Are Subject To proof of eligibility to work in the UK, an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service, two satisfactory references (one of which must be from your current or most recent employer), a full and detailed employment history, full manual driving licence, be over 21 and must have been held for at least one year.
