Healthcare Assistant – Complex Care (Adult)

Location – Newton Abbott

Pay – £11 to £21 per hour

Shift – 10:00am to 15:00pm (3 times a week)

HCA required for young male client with Motor Neurone Disease to support him and his wife to either get out into the community or to ensure his wife gets some respite.

Ideally you will have complex care experience and be able to deliver person centred care within a client’s own home. Due to their complex health conditions and specialist care requirements, our client requires ongoing support. We are recruiting dedicated teams of complex care professional committed to supporting this package of care on an ongoing basis. Full training and clinical support will be given to all of our team.

We ask that you have experience in the following areas:

· Complex care at home, working with adults

· Peg feeding

· Moving and handling

Within this role you will be responsible for delivering and overseeing key health provision functions. Duties may include supporting with administering medication, medication via PEG training will be given, moving and handling, personal care and healthcare tasks related specifically to the person-centred needs of our client, to ensure that our client remains completely safe and comfortable in their own home environment. You will be fully supported at all times by our qualified Nurse Managers, that oversee all Onecall24 Healthcare packages of care.

You will form a key part of the Onecall24 Healthcare complex care team within this role, becoming part of a team that truly believes in quality and person-centred care.

You will receive full training in all specialist and person-centred elements of care delivery and 24-hour support. Due to the nature and potential location of this work, access to your own transport is essential.
