Our client is a garment and accessory supplier to the high street. They are currently recruiting for an ambitious and confident Assistant Merchandiser to join their team. This role will assist the account managers and merchandise teams across multiple high street accounts.

Merchandiser - The Role:

  • Negotiating prices with factories and customers
  • Raising new orders internally and sending to overseas factories / in-country merchandisers
  • Checking all details on customer contracts
  • Liaising with factories / in-country merchandisers daily, via email and phone regarding approvals/rejections
  • Updating and analysing internal and customer critical paths
  • Conducting weekly Skype calls with factories
  • Sending sample submissions – lab dips/strike-offs to customers
  • Coordinating between licensing and QC departments for sample approvals
  • Liaising with logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Coordinating with the design department for design issues and high-resolution artwork requests
  • Checking label artworks and approving factory samples
  • Identifying production issues and resolving problems
  • Reading test reports and sending production pieces to the lab
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Attending customer meetings

Merchandiser - The Candidate:

  • At least 1 year of merchandising experience in the fashion industry
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive approach
  • Experience in licensing is an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook

Merchandiser - The Package:

Competitive salary depending on experience.
