My client is a specialist company that researches, develops and produces bespoke products for the agricultural industry and they are seeking a Quality Control Biotechnologist to join their current team. As a Quality Control Biotechnologist your role will focus on conducting microbiology tests, using laboratory equipment and creating detailed reports.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing bacteria for laboratory testing
- Performing microbiological testing on materials and finished products
- Perform HPLC and other tests and record results appropriately
- Ensuring that procedures meet ISO standards
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
- Providing technical support to colleagues
Experience:
- Degree or HNC/HND qualification in Microbiology, Applied Biology or Biochemistry
- Must have previous experience working in a Laboratory Technician position
- Experience of working to ISO standards would be advantageous
- Experience using laboratory equipment is essential
- Must be a team player
- Excellent communication skills are a must
