My client is a specialist company that researches, develops and produces bespoke products for the agricultural industry and they are seeking a Quality Control Biotechnologist to join their current team. As a Quality Control Biotechnologist your role will focus on conducting microbiology tests, using laboratory equipment and creating detailed reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing bacteria for laboratory testing
  • Performing microbiological testing on materials and finished products
  • Perform HPLC and other tests and record results appropriately
  • Ensuring that procedures meet ISO standards
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
  • Providing technical support to colleagues

Experience:

  • Degree or HNC/HND qualification in Microbiology, Applied Biology or Biochemistry
  • Must have previous experience working in a Laboratory Technician position
  • Experience of working to ISO standards would be advantageous
  • Experience using laboratory equipment is essential
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent communication skills are a must
