Role Responsibilities
We are recruiting Social Workers with a range of skills and experience. These full-time permanent roles are available in our Sandwich or Dover Community Teams. We operate in a hybrid model of office-based and remote working to meet service needs.
We offer a £3000 Golden Hello payment to new joiners (subject to criteria) and service-related payments after continuous service.
About Us
This is an exciting opportunity to join our community teams across Kent, focusing on locality working and person-centered practice. We work with adults with various care needs, undertaking assessments such as Care Act, MCA, Court of Protection, and safeguarding enquiries.
Our approach emphasizes excellent practice, innovation, and meaningful measures, building relationships with individuals, families, and communities to empower and support locally.
About You
We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified Social Workers who meet professional standards and legislative requirements. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strengths-based approach are essential. Collaboration and flexibility are valued traits.
This role requires a Full UK Driving Licence. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments for applicants with disabilities.
Support and Benefits
We offer a competitive benefits package, flexible working arrangements, market premium payments (subject to eligibility), generous annual leave, and access to the local government pension scheme. Opportunities for professional development include social care training, career progression, and specialist training such as Mental Health Professional Training, Best Interest Assessor Training, and Practice Educator Training.
You will receive regular supervision and support to develop your practice and career. We are moving towards extended service hours (8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week) to better meet service needs.
This position requires an Enhanced Disclosure and registration with Social Work England. It is a customer-facing role, and English language proficiency is essential, as per statutory requirements.
We also welcome applications from registered nurses and occupational therapists with relevant experience. For more information, contact Angela Illing at 03000 410813, Kat Brown at 03000 412484, or Hayley Brind at 03000 413195.
