We’ve recently doubled our HV test capacity to 2 MW, installed brand-new generators, and introduced simultaneous motor testing – making Falkirk one of the most advanced high-voltage facilities in the UK.

As an Electro Mechanical Technician, you will:

• Diagnose, dismantle, inspect, and repair various rotating equipment, including high and low voltage AC motors and generators

• Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, and assembly of rotating machinery and components.

• Conduct electrical testing, fault-finding, and rewinding of motors and generators.

• Collaborate with engineers and fellow technicians to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

What You Bring:

• Recognized Electrical/Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or qualification.

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with experience in the repair and maintenance of motors, pumps, and other rotating machinery.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

• Proficiency in fault-finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
