Who we are looking for A Development Support Engineer, who will play a key role in the successful operation of our dynamic gaming environment and platform; contributing to the continued growth and innovation of our team. The Gaming Systems department are responsible for the development of our Company’s gaming related products, this encompasses Games, Casino, Bingo, Poker and Slots, including all iOS and Android variants. You will work alongside gaming developers, software testers and other teams within software development to ensure optimal performance, availability and reliability of our global-scale systems. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the seamless operation of our development and production environments, on-premises and in the cloud. The role is instrumental in providing timely and effective incident triage, platform operations, proactive maintenance and performance analysis and capacity management. Furthermore to enhance observability, supporting third party integrations and ensuring our development and automated testing pipelines run smoothly. This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy. Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in a development or technical support role. Strong problem solving and decision making skills, with a keen eye for detail. Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience liaising across technical domains. Ability to make and act on decisions under pressure, resilience in challenging situations and adaptable to changing priorities. Main Responsibilities Triaging and resolving of critical incidents. Performing system performance analysis, capacity planning and monitoring checks. Supporting release management activities. Provisioning new platforms and creation of automated workflows. Coordinating of system changes and operations, including OS patching and upgrades. Troubleshooting server-related issues or hardware faults. Organising firewall and content delivery network changes and resolving network connectivity issues. Handling development environmental issues. Identifying technical and process areas for continual improvement, fostering modern engineering practices. Communicating change activities and conducting post-live system checks.
