Roofer (Solar-Ready) – Sussex

We’re hiring skilled, reliable roofers to prepare rooftops for solar PV systems and carry out roof inspections and repairs on existing installations. This is an excellent opportunity for subcontractor roofers looking to move into renewable energy with consistent CIS-based work.

Your Role

As a Solar-Ready Roofer, your duties will include:

Preparing roofs for solar panel installation (mounting, flashing and sealing)

Conducting roof surveys, leak detection and minor repairs

Replacing cracked or missing roof tiles and making surfaces solar-ready

Diagnosing and resolving roof-related warranty issues

Maintaining safety and quality standards across all sites

What You’ll Need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Experience in domestic or commercial roofing

Strong awareness of roof safety procedures

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally

Your own tools, PPE and public liability insurance

Knowledge of solar panel roof preparation (preferred but not essential)

Excellent subcontractor rates: £180–£350/day, depending on scope and experience
