We are looking for Legal Officers to join nplaw to provide legal support to our Lawyers.

nplaw is a public sector shared legal service with extensive experience advising clients in local government, the public sector, charities, and schools. We offer a wide range of legal services delivered by specialist lawyers familiar with the local government context. Our core mission is to work for the benefit of the public, and we seek Legal Officers to help us deliver our broad portfolio of services.

As a Legal Officer, you will assist in providing legal services to clients by undertaking straightforward transactions and casework, attending meetings, and drafting documentation. Candidates should have a law degree, be CILEx level 3 qualified (or working towards CPQ level 3), or hold a similar qualification, or have relevant legal experience. A good knowledge of the law or a willingness to learn, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a desire to progress your career are essential. Training and support will be provided.

Our work environment prioritizes work-life balance, offering flexible and smarter working arrangements supported by modern technology. We also focus on staff well-being, providing a buddy system, mental health first aiders, an employee helpline, and counselling services. The Norfolk setting offers a unique blend of beaches, countryside, and culture.

Our roles are mainly hybrid, combining remote work and office presence at County Hall, Norwich. We provide excellent technology and equipment for remote collaboration, requiring good broadband connectivity. All interviews will be conducted remotely.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive salary
  • Generous holiday entitlement
  • Health and Wellbeing services including physiotherapy and counselling
  • Flexible working options
