Lifestyles Advisor – Stay on Your Feet – Fixed Term Until 31 7 2026
About us
An exciting opportunity has arisen within LiveWire Warrington and the Lifestyles Service as a Lifestyles Advisor. The primary focus of this role is to deliver lifestyle interventions set in within the Stay on Your Feet & Weight Management programmes for residents of Warrington who are referred into the service.
The Stay on Your Feet programme is a 12-week evidenced based exercise & education programme for the over 65’s with a remit to improve the participants strength & balance with a goal to reduce the risk of someone having a fall and to evidence improvements in a participants independence and mental health.
The Tier 2 Weight Management programme is a community-based programme with an aim to support those referred into the service with nutritional advice and behaviour change strategies. To provide guidance to individuals to make healthy lifestyle changes.
The role
The role is a fixed 12-month contract to cover maternity leave, until 31 July 2026. The 32 hours per week will be evenly split between delivery of the Stay on Your Feet and Weight Management elements of the Lifestyles Service and when required to, operationally support the wider service.
The individual will be part of a larger Lifestyles Service which also includes the SmokeFree Warrington and Healthy Hearts Service. You will also work closely with Warrington’s Communities & Wellbeing Service.
What\’s needed?
It will be necessary for the post holder to have experience in delivering exercise or physical activity programmes or sessions for special populations including older adults along with experience in supporting individuals with making positive lifestyles changes with achieving a healthy weight.
It is essential you have strong people skills, including communication and teamwork & have the ability to establish rapport quickly and easily with service users.
