Business Management Support β Institutional Banking Group
We are seeing a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Business Management Support (BMS) team sitting within the Institutional Banking Group (IBG) department.
Being a part of the BMS team makes you a key player within IBG in which you will assist in business performance analysis, project management, improvement initiatives, and executing strategic priorities.
You will work closely with the Head of IBS BMS to support and deliver on the job responsibilities outlined below.
Job Responsibilities
Business Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Track and analyse key performance metrics for the IBG division including client acquisition, portfolio performance, and revenue generation.
- Assist in preparing and presenting regular reports on business performance, market trends, and competitor analysis.
- Support business leaders in making data-driven decisions by providing insights into financial performance and operational efficiencies.
Business Policy, Process & Management
- Ensure effective governance in place and adherence to applicable Group and local Standards, Policies, and regulations
- Identify process efficiencies and provide innovative solutions to reduce process pain points.
- Point of contact for all IBG policies, coordinating impact assessment and roll out of policy updates and enhancements.
- Coordination / management of ad-hoc business requests, data requests and reporting.
Governance & Control
- Act as and support First Line of Defence activities, contact point for IBG related risk & control items.
- Ongoing assessment of business controls framework and effectiveness in identifying, managing, and mitigating inherent and residual risk.
- Review the business entertainment expenses on a quarterly basis.
Credit Support Function
- Support the credit support team, which assists the relationship managers for credit facility activation and covenant monitoring.
New Product Approval
- Assist the new product approval process for IBG and GTS.
FATCA/CRS Reporting
- Act as the FATCA/CRS champion and manage the FATCA/CRS reporting of IBG.
Digital Enablement
- Act as a systems champion and coordinate all UK IBG feedback into business requirements for system upgrades.
- Drive local implementation of the Bankβs Digital Enablement agenda and look to implement digital solutions to processes.
Data Drive Operating Model
- UK coordination of Data Transformation projects facilitating transition to a Data Driven Operating Model (DDOM).
- Local lead and contact point for Group-wide IBG initiatives and liaison between HO and UK on data focused projects / initiatives.
Marketing & Communications
- Local facilitation of Group-wide marketing/client communications and internal employee communications, ensuring key messages are highlighted and disseminated within the UK IBG community.
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 yearsβ experience in a business management role within the banking or financial services sector.
- Able to demonstrate sufficient stature and empowerment within the business.
- Provide balance perspective between business expediency and risk & control.
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written presentation
- Advanced data manipulation skills
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Must have the right to work in the UK and do not require sponsorship (now or in the future).
