Job Summary

Workshop Fitter – Split shifts

Main Characteristics

• Competitive salary: £17.50 – £19.50/hour, with 1.5x for overtime, pension benefits, etc.
• Opportunity to work in a high-quality workshop with ongoing training, including courses such as Irtec.
• Varied daily tasks involving work on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), light commercials, trailers, and tippers.

Responsibilities

• Routine and preventative maintenance
• MOT preparation
• Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
• 6 or 8 weekly inspections
• Correction of running defects
• Chassis and fabrication work
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Vehicle standards improvement
• Electrical and wiring inspections and repairs

Qualifications and Skills

• Fully qualified (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
• Additional certifications such as IRTEC or EV qualification are desirable
• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 license is a plus
