We are seeking an experienced Seating Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in automotive seating systems, with a strong focus on long lead item development, concept validation, and cross-functional technical coordination. This role plays a critical part in delivering advanced product designs aligned with major ADJ/PD checkpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate technical stories delivering key EPICs for ADJ/ PD checkpoints
- Developing concepts alongside Tech Centre Lead and assessing Vs established Bill of Designs
- Documenting any early DV requirements
- Develop commodity plans (for Long Lead items only)
- Conduct EBER (Engineering Based Engineering Review) Level 0 for new concepts (Long Lead items only)
- Support change requests with Investment/ piece cost/ mass and CO2e data
- All DS’s Created – Linked to EBOM/ Product Structure
- ADJ level geometry frozen (in line with VEPs requirements)
- Concept CAD generation to support assessing different design solutions
- Proficient in 3Dx
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
