We are seeking a Pastoral Assistant and Mini Bus Driver to join Henley Bank High School. This role offers an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of our Pastoral Team, supporting student attendance and wellbeing.
Henley Bank High School, located in Brockworth near junction 11a of the M5, has a strong record of academic achievement, including top national GCSE results in 2023 and the highest in Gloucestershire for non-selective schools. We recently opened our Sixth Form in September 2024, marking a new chapter in our school\’s journey.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will support student inclusion by ensuring minimal disruption to learning and providing transportation for students in the mornings.
Main responsibilities:
- Collect students from home using the school minibus.
- Build positive relationships with students, acting as a role model.
- Provide pastoral support and develop individual behaviour/support plans.
- Motivate students, promote self-esteem, and support those in emotional or behavioural crises.
- Assist students who struggle with classroom routines and support their access to learning.
- Monitor student progress and contribute to behaviour management strategies.
- Establish communication with parents, carers, and other professionals.
- Maintain accurate records and support school policies, including safeguarding.
- Participate in training and contribute to the school\’s ethos.
- Support the running of the Alternative Provision Centre, social removal, detentions, and invigilation duties.
- Undertake one cover lesson per day.
