We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst (BA) with proven experience in data centre relocations, infrastructure transformation, and hardware lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of servers, networking, and hardware decommissioning (demise), and will play a key role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution of complex data centre migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements for data centre migration and infrastructure projects.
- Work closely with infrastructure teams, project managers, and stakeholders to assess current environments and define target state solutions.
- Support end-to-end planning and execution of data centre relocations, including server migrations, network changes, and hardware decommissioning.
- Identify and document dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input and drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Create detailed business process flows, use cases, and impact assessments related to infrastructure changes.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth server and network transitions with minimal disruption.
- Track and report on project milestones, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Document hardware demise processes and ensure compliance with data protection and environmental regulations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data centre relocation or consolidation projects.
- Strong knowledge of server infrastructure, networking, and data centre technologies.
- Experience with hardware decommissioning, including secure data wiping and asset disposal.
- Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in complex, fast-paced environments with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and service management is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
