Are you ready to take your leadership skills to the next level? As a Bindery Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our bindery operations run smoothly and efficiently. You'll be the driving force behind executing our production schedule, maintaining ISO quality standards, and delivering top-notch products to our valued customers.

In this dynamic role, you'll work closely with the supervisor team to manage workflow, conduct quality checks, and troubleshoot any issues that arise from production to staffing. Together, you'll ensure that our team meets KPI objectives and maintains our reputation for high-quality output. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence will be essential as you collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations across the bindery process.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
  • Production and Workflow Management - Execute the production schedule within timescales and ISO standards, direct workflow movement, and troubleshoot bindery workflow.
  • Quality and Maintenance Oversight - Approve setups, conduct quality checks, ensure high-quality product delivery, oversee scheduled maintenance, and liaise with Maintenance.
  • Machine and Output Monitoring - Utilise own expertise to ensure machines run efficiently, monitor and explain output figures, and report on machine and press output.
  • Performance and Compliance Management - Address poor performance, ensure adherence to operating procedures and ISO standards, and investigate quality incidents with internal departments.
  • Process Improvement and Collaboration - Enhance procedures, undertake projects, and work with compliance to improve practices.
  • Training and Shift Coverage - Address training gaps, manage holiday schedules, and ensure adequate shift coverage.
Requirements:
  • Experience in overseeing bindery operations or similar position in a manufacturing environment.
  • A high-level of self-confidence and self-motivation with the ability to work on own initiative and manage own workload.
  • Ability to improve quality & efficiency of work processes and drive implementation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Diligent, structured and organised approach to work – with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Ability to work in an everchanging, fast-paced environment.
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude with logical problem-solving skills.
  • Takes pride in own work, is thorough with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent command of English language (both written and verbal).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as own initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and associated programs where needed.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a reasonable degree of education.
