The Boeing Company is looking for a Tooling Mechanic - General Machinist to join our Tooling & Emergent Operations Team in Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, maintain, modify, & install various forms of tooling, such as large and small engineering test fixtures, fabrication equipment, etc. in collaboration with engineering design teams
  • Utilize CNC equipment to fabricate or modify various components (Mazak mill, Mazak lathe)
  • Utilize manual equipment to fabricate or modify various tooling components (Examples: Bridgeport Mill, Marvel saw, surface grinder, drill press, etc.)
  • Other responsibilities include: 3D Model Interrogation, Blueprint Reading, Tooling Inspection, Laser Tracking

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working in a tooling, manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • 1+ years of experience with CNC machining in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associate's degree and/or trade school certificate and/or equivalent military experience
  • 1+ years of experience as a machine operator, writing and editing CNC programs
  • Experience in CAD/CAM software
  • Experience working with Mastercam
  • Experience operating manual mill and manual lathe machines
  • Experience using inspection tools (e.g., Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, etc.)

Additional Information:

  • This position is for variable shift. The candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.
  • Employment is governed by the IAMAW 837 Collective Bargaining agreement.
  • Pay range: $23.65/hour - $30.65/hour to start, up to $47.76/hour at top pay.

  • This position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
