are seeking a Senior Social Worker to work within children\’s services, supporting the most vulnerable children, young people, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop clear, child-focused plans that address risks and meet needs, involving families and partner agencies.
- Maintain high-quality, jargon-free records and reports with clear analysis and rationale.
- Regularly review progress, adapt plans as needed, and lead safeguarding investigations when required.
- Use legal frameworks and evidence-based practice to guide decision-making.
- Build strong, sensitive relationships with children, families, and professionals, supporting their involvement in assessments and reviews.
- Manage conflicts and resistance professionally to drive positive change.
- Support healthy child development and monitor signs of harm or developmental concerns.
- Conduct thorough assessments focusing on risk and parental capacity, ensuring the child\’s voice is central.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in social work or equivalent qualification (e.g., Graduate Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, Certificate in Social Services) essential.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in building relationships with children, young people, and families, with strong case notes and reports supported by analysis.
- Ability to organize workload effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant social work theories and social care services provided by statutory, voluntary, and independent sectors.
