About the Role

At St John Ambulance, we aim to develop our volunteering offer and become an even more integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education.

We seek passionate individuals who care about their communities and want to make a difference by sharing first aid skills and knowledge. As a Community First Aider, you will deliver first aid at local events and educate the public to promote the importance of First Aid.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide first aid support at community events.
  2. Educate the public on first aid techniques.
  3. Support community partnerships to grow awareness and participation.
  4. Contribute to increasing our membership and fundraising efforts.

Training and Support

We provide comprehensive induction and training for your role, along with a supportive environment. Details about volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions, and our volunteer charter outlines mutual expectations.

Induction & Training Dates

Successful candidates will undertake induction and training on the following dates:

  • Welcome Event (Induction): Possible dates include 24th July (evening), 2nd August (daytime), and 6th August. These will be surveyed for availability to possibly reduce to one session and preferred location (Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, or online).
  • Enrollment and Interview: Saturday, 31st May.
